Billie graduated with honors from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and from Baker University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Billie is credentialed as a Certified Bariatric Nurse through the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Nursing.

Billie has been involved with the Bariatric Center of Kansas City program since June 2004, starting as a clinic nurse, then working as the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Bariatric Program Coordinator. Currently, Billie is the Bariatric Program Coordinator for the Bariatric Center of Kansas City. Billie began her training in Bariatric Medicine with Bariatric Physician Dr. Rick Tague in February 2000.

Billie's strengths have been in her ability to instruct, counsel and encourage patients on their path to optimal health through proper nutrition and exercise. Billie works closely with the different disciplines that care for the patients before and after their weight loss surgeries to maintain exceptional patient care. She also facilitates the support groups for the Bariatric Center of Kansas City pre-op and post-op patients.
